2026 წლის 4 ივნისს, გელათის სასულიერო აკადემიასა და სემინარიის თეოლოგიის ფაკულტეტის ორგანიზებით გაიმარათა სტუდენტური სამეცნიერო ბილინგვალური კონფერენცია თემაზე ,,ჩვენი დროის წმინდანები’’.
კონფერენცია მიეძღვნა იმ გამორჩეულ მოღვაწეებს, რომლებმაც უახლეს ეპოქაში საკუთარი ცხოვრებით, მოღვაწეობითა და ქრისტესადმი ერთგული აღსარებით ნათლად წარმოაჩინეს ქრისტიანული სიწმინდის მარადიული ძალა და თანამედროვე სამყაროში სახარებისეული ცხოვრების მნიშვნელობა.
ღონისძიების მიზანი იყო სტუდენტთა სამეცნიერო-კვლევითი საქმიანობის ხელშეწყობა, თანამედროვე წმინდანთა სულიერი მემკვიდრეობის გააზრება და თეოლოგიური საკითხების ქართულ და ინგლისურ ენებზე აკადემიური განხილვა.
კონფერენციაზე წაკითხული იქნა შემდეგი მოხსენებები:
1. გიგა ბოლქვაზე თეოლოგის საბაკალავრო (II კურსის სტუდენტი) – მამა გაბრიელი აღმსარებელი – ,, ჭეშმარიტება სულის უკვდავებაშია.”
2. ალეკო წიქორიძე თეოლოგის საბაკალავრო (II კურსის სტუდენტი)- წმინდა პაისი ათონელი – ,, სულიერი ბრძოლა თანამედროვე სამყაროში.“
3. ლუკა მეგრელიშილი თეოლოგის საბაკალავრო (III კურსის სტუდენტი) – ბერი პორფირი კავსოკალიველი – ,,სიყვარულის თეოლოგია ბერი პოფირის სწავლებაში.“
4. საბა სანიკიძე თეოლოგის საბაკალავრო (II კურსის სტუდენტი) – წმინდა სოფრონ სახაროვი – ,,ადამიანის პიროვნება და ღვთისშემეცნება.“
5. ლუკა თედორაძე – თეოლოგის საბაკალავრო (I კურსის სტუდენტი) – მამა სერაფიმე როუზი -,, მართლმამდიდებლობა დასავლეთში – მისიონერული ხედვა.“
მოხსენებებში განხილული იყო თანამედროვე მართლმადიდებელი წმინდანების სულიერი გამოცდილება, მათი ღვთისმეტყველება და ის განსაკუთრებული წვლილი, რომელიც მათ ეკლესიისა და თანამედროვე საზოგადოების სულიერ ცხოვრებაში შეიტანეს.
On June 4, 2026, the Faculty of Theology of the Gelati Theological Academy and Seminary organized a Student Scientific Bilingual Conference entitled “Saints of Our Time.”
The conference was dedicated to distinguished spiritual figures who, through their lives, ministry, and unwavering confession of faith in Christ, vividly demonstrated the enduring power of Christian holiness and the significance of living according to the Gospel in the modern world.
The aim of the conference was to promote students’ academic and research activities, to deepen understanding of the spiritual heritage of contemporary saints, and to encourage scholarly discussion of theological issues in both Georgian and English.
The following presenters participated in the conference:
1. Giga Bolkvadze, a second-year Bachelor’s student of Theology – “The Immortality of the Soul as the Foundation of Truth in the Teachings of Saint Gabriel the Confessor”
2. Aleko Tsikoridze , a second-year Bachelor’s student of Theology – Saint Paisios the Athonite – “ Spiritual Warfare in the Contemporary World.”
3. Luka Megrelishili, a third-year Bachelor’s student of Theology – ‘’The Theology of Love in the Teaching of Elder Porphyrios.”
4. Saba Sanikidze a second- year Bachelor’s student of Theology – ‘’The Human Person and the Knowledge of God according to Sophrony Sakharov’’.
5. Luka Tedoradze, a first-year Bachelor’s student of Theology – Father Seraphime Rose – “Orthodox Christianity in the Wastern World – A Missionary vision.”
The presentations explored the spiritual experience of contemporary Orthodox saints, their theological teachings, and the distinctive contribution they made to the spiritual life of the Church and modern society. Their lives and writings were examined as enduring testimonies to Christian faith, holiness, and witness in the contemporary world.
